Great line Review by Basserman
Product Rating
Earlier this year you sent two packages of Bioline for sampling. I
extend a sincere thanks to you! It was a pleasure to use. I completed all
testing which included pitching/flipping with the heaviest that was sent and
followed with spinner and crank baiting. I spooled the line after receiving it
leaving it on my reels until I started fishing tournaments in April. The line
showed no memory and was quite soft and easy to knot. I will look for the
line in other lbs. weights as is available. I will continue utilizing it with no worry about losing any fish, for it stood up quite well in the abrasive environments
I fish.

Bioline 10lb Review Review by Steve Schmidt Full Time Guide on Richland Chambers
Product Rating
I have to first say, Bioline has come out with a product that is good for the environment. When I received my product I was a little skeptical because it felt like dental floss. But after using it for three days straight in a headed to head comparison with another mono products. I have to say BIOLINE has a product that all other vendors should take notice. The product seem to have very little stretch and seem to hold up well in and round rocks. I also like how the line comes off the spool.

Try some you will be pleased Review by WaterWolf

As founder of the Green Team Anglers, it is important to me that I leave behind no trace of being there. As of last year, Bioline Biofilament has become my my line of choice for my piscatorial pursuits. My main reason is that should I break off a piece due to a fish or snag, I know that it will truly biodegrade in 3-5 years! My old lines would be around 600 years and the new fluorocarbon and braids can stay around over a 1000 years! That alone warrants my change.
I had my doubts at first. I soon found great confidence in the lines strength and knot holding power. The six and eight pound test I was using took a beating in a rocky areas, frayed, yet held tight and not breaking off. I found it towed a 19 Bass Boat around nicely while attempting to recover a well snagged tube jig. Not that that is what we do regularly, however, it did prove to be a great demonstration. Snags will be snags. I do not like to lose the fish I catch, and that will not happen with this line. This coming spring will really put this line to the test with many a fish testing the tackle. I look forward to competing in our Local Tournaments having full confidence in Bioline Biofilament as my line of choice. If you have been having your doubts, get some and try it. Do not compare it to other lines for it is a new type of line in a class all by itself. Find out how it works for your needs and size your line accordingly. You will like the results and you will do a small part in reducing our long term footprint in the outdoors.
This product is now available to fly anglers as well. Try some today!! (Posted on 2/17/09)
Good Stuff Review by Sport

I have been using bioline for several months now and have been very happy with it's performance. I have been using 4# for my ice fishing this winter. The stretch is similar to mono but the memory is much lower. This helps to prevent coiling that can cause problems when using the tiny jigs required for catching picky pan fish through the ice. I have also used the 8# for catching a few smallmouth on the upper mississippi river and was happy with how the line held up to getting hung in rocks. I look forward to spooling up my crankbait rods with bioline this spring. (Posted on 2/16/09)
My experiences with Bioline Biofilament. Review by Jratthelake

I have recently been introduced to Bioline and have been fishing the 4lb and 6lb lines for most of the winter through the ice. I have fished it in temps from-6 celsius down to -30 and find it to preform as well if not better than other monos. I have noticed very little memory and find it easy to control comming off the reel even in coldest temperatures. I am able to fish very small stuff on the 4lb(Marmooska jigs)without the aid of adding splitshot and the line hangs very staight allowing for fewer bites missed due to slack in the line. I would have made the switch just for the fact that it is a green product and after fishing with it I see no reason whatsoever to switch back to my old line. (Posted on 2/16/09)
Great performance and line strength, works great when I winter steelhead fished. Review by Carl

After being skeptical about the Bioline, I was very impressed with its performance. The line has very low memory and is lo-vis like fluorocarbon. It is a soft material with a nice elasticity to it, in this regards its like mono. One thing I would recommend would be to fish true to the LB test you need. I spoke with them at the Portland Expo Fishing show and Bioline has 30% higher knot strength, with about 8% higher diameter. So buy 10LB when fishing 10-12LB fish. (Posted on 2/16/09)
